Experience is the best teacher and nowhere is this more evident than in the development of a boat’s helm. Our new Viking 52 Sport Tower model presents a good example of this critical attention to detail.  She’s set to premiere next month at our 50th Anniversary Gala Celebration and VIP sea trial day, September 9-10, 2014 at the Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Providing good visibility for the operator is paramount, and this includes the ability to monitor the navigation and fishing electronics. As the rendering shows in this case, our subsidiary Atlantic Marine Electronicsequipped the helm with three 15-inch screens affording the operator with an unobstructed view of the sounder, plotter and radar.  Engine instrumentation is visible on centerline. The raised pod, which houses the electronic equipment is sealed for all weather performance. Another of our subsidiaries, Palm Beach Towers, designed and built the custom tuna tower with a full set of controls and additional electronics for seamless performance when operating the boat from the upper location.

Good things certainly do come in threes for the team at R Marine South Australia who not only won three esteemed awards at the annual Australia and New Zealand dealer awards, but also won the coveted Overall Dealership of the Year award for the third consecutive year in recognition of their exceptional customer service, innovative owner experience events and dedication to the Riviera and Belize brands.

The 20th annual Australia and New Zealand Dealer Awards were held at a special ceremony at Cockle Bay in Sydney on the eve of the Sydney International Boat Show.  The awards recognise outstanding achievement and marine industry excellence within Riviera’s R Marine dealer network – the largest luxury owner network in the region.

Riviera’s dealer relationship manager Peter Welch said the awards were designed to bring together Riviera’s Australian and New Zealand R Marine dealer network to celebrate their success and recognise exceptional customer care.

“As an Australian manufacturer of luxury boats, I would like to think that our R Marine network sets a benchmark for boat dealerships in Australia and New Zealand and indeed world-wide,” Mr Welch said.

“The dealers are judged on their overall sales success, customer service and owner experience events, as well as their ability to maintain a professional and highly ethical representation of the Riviera and Belize brands.”

R Marine South Australia did exceptionally well this year winning the coveted Overall Dealership of the Year award, the Sales Excellence by a Dealership award (which they won jointly with R Marine Sydney), and dealer principal Paul Harrop won the Sales Excellence by an Individual award.

“We are honoured to have won three awards this year.  R Marine South Australia’s focus has been on giving our Riviera owners, and potential clients, a high standard of service and an ongoing great experience well beyond the initial boat purchase,” Mr Harrop said.

“It is a great work environment here at our Holdfast Shores office in Glenelg, South Australia and I believe our team’s enthusiasm flows on to our amazing owners who have been incredibly supportive over the years and love their Riviera boats.

“It has been a fantastic year for R Marine South Australia and our success wouldn’t be possible without the tremendous support of our families and administration team who truly are the backbone of our business.

“Our team consistently goes the extra mile to ensure complete customer satisfaction and I am proud to be part of such a dedicated team of marine professionals.”

Mr Welch commended the team at R Marine South Australia for their commitment to excellence.

“What really stood out from R Marine South Australia was their relentless passion.  They are committed to the Riviera lifestyle – it is not just a job for the team at R Marine South Australia, they live and breathe boating and this is evident in their strong relationships with their Riviera owners.”

For the first time in the award’s 20-year history, Riviera recognised two dealerships for Sales Excellence, R Marine South Australia and R Marine Sydney.  Mr Welch said both dealerships achieved the highest sales results across the Australia/New Zealand dealer network and deserved to be equally recognised for this achievement.

R Marine Sydney’s dealer principal Michael Joyce commended his team for their positive attitude and continued commitment to the Riviera and Belize brands.

“Our team’s camaraderie is evident in this award and it’s an honour to be recognised for our commitment to caring for Sydney customers,” Mr Joyce said.

The Service Excellence by a Dealership award was presented to one of Riviera’s newest dealers, R Marine Mandurah, located about 72 kilometres south of Perth, who over the past 18 months established a reputation for high quality service within their local boating community.

“We usually give this award to an individual but this year we felt that all of our dealerships had provided exceptional service, and in particular, R Marine Mandurah.  Carl Segreto and his team have done an amazing job in Western Australia since they officially opened in May last year.  We are continually hearing positive feedback and their commitment to service has been the most outstanding in the country,” Mr Welch said.

R Marine Mandurah dealer principal Carl Segreto congratulated his team on their dedication and commitment to servicing Mandurah’s Riviera owners.

“With over 600 Riviera’s in Western Australia there was a real need to open a dealership in Mandurah and I am grateful to all our loyal customers for their ongoing support over the past 18 months.  It was a real honour to be recognised for our service commitment at the annual Dealer Awards and I am proud of my team’s commitment to customer service and in particular, our service technician Mark Cole who does a fantastic job,” Mr Segreto said.

“Our fixed price servicing and ‘no fix, no pay’ guarantee is a great incentive for our customers and they also appreciate our 24/7 phone support and call out service.  It truly is the little things that can make all the difference in customer satisfaction and at R Marine Mandurah, our customer care is our number one priority.”

Riviera’s esteemed Dealer Awards have recognised excellence in sales, owner care and service innovation for the past 20 years and instils Riviera’s commitment to quality as championed by the entire Riviera factory team of over 400 people, the company’s CEO Wes Moxey and owner Rodney Longhurst.  These awards encourage the dealer network team to consistently go above and beyond for their Riviera Family of owners.
