Form and Function: Viking Yachts

Viking Yacht Company
In the Spotlight

Viking is well known for its cockpit layouts that make splendid use of the available space. Each model in our line from 42 to 82 feet abounds with smart features and clever designs to merge convenience, practicality and safety.

Our mezzanines are especially notable for combining an observation level with Sunbrella cushions for comfortable seating beneath the flying bridge overhang to shield against sun and spray. Built into the observation deck are insulated compartments for freezers and refrigeration, stowage and engineroom access.

In the lower cockpit, flush stainless-steel hardware, rounded corners and lower cockpit coamings create a seamless custom look.

While mezzanines are a standard feature on new Vikings, retro-fitting older Vikings with a mezzanine is a popular request at the Viking Yacht Service Center in Riviera Beach, Florida. Please contact the Service Center at 561-493-2800 for more information.

In the Spotlight
Announced at our VIP Boat Show Preview last month, the newest Viking currently in the build process is the 66 Convertible. The new model slated to launch late summer bears a strong resemblance to its recent new generation siblings with a sleek, aggressive stance and graceful profile that bespeaks power and beauty.
Currently, the hull mold is being nurtured and prepped, while elsewhere the deckhouse mold is in its final construction phase.

The four-stateroom, five-head 66 Convertible will premiere at the fall in-water boat shows.

At the winter 2012 boat shows, the 66 Enclosed Bridge Convertible will be introduced. Our five-axis computer operated profiler is already at work carving the enclosed bridge plug.
